Press the “Print Screen” button on your keyboard. You can then go to almost any program that let’s you use graphics and choose “paste”. A snapshot of your screen should then appear in the program. This will work with most graphics/art software and word processor software such as Microsoft Word.

Free Software Right on Your Computer

Windows actually comes with several tools you may not know about. You can find them in your list of programs:

• Calculator – A simple on screen calculator
• MSPaint – A simple painting program
• Wordpad – A simple Text Editor that can print

These programs are very basic, but if you just need to do a quick calculation or print some text they work just fine. And for those times when you need a bit of break you may also find a collection of card games in your programs list as well.
